T.R.A.P.S.
Total Release Annular Protection System

Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) Requirements

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection requires sufficient measures of containment to prevent uneventful overfills, leaks and spills.
The T.R.A.P.S. system can help meet your SPCC plan requirements and is approved in
Florida Department of Environmental Protection.

 The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) requirements are outlined in  Section 762.501(1) as follows:

A. Continuous tank shell monitoring with approved probes, cables, or electronic sensors;

B. Immediate electronic notification to owner or operator of overfills and leaks from the tank shell;

C. Storm water management;

D. A high and high-high level overfill alarm system with an annual test of operability; and

E. An impervious overfill retention system that will contain a volume of product that would be transferred at maximum flow rate for a period of five minutes by the pump used for filling the tank, or a flow shut-off system for the tank at a high level.

 Industrial Maintenance Group has designed a patented system that meets all of the FDEP  requirements as documented in File No. EQ-659, DEP Approval of the TRAPS System.
